The room was updated but smelled musty and was humid, stuffy & noisy. The courtyard shows a nightly movie, which if you're staying in one of the surrounding rooms makes for an evening full of running and crying, screaming kids. The hotel is connected to the waterpark so I expected there to be kids, but the building seems to echo everything. We requested a fan to cool the room off but after numerous calls, no one brought one up. We went down to get one from The front desk but they said someone has to bring it up. We had to sleep with the door open because my son has asthma and couldn't breathe with the air being so thick and stuffy. The hotel said the air system is all connected so everyone either has hot or cold air, the rooms do not have individual heaters /coolers. If it was one night we stayed, it would have been tolerable but 2 nights was too long. Our clothes smelled musty and were damp just from being in the hotel room.

Ok, first things first: Niagara Falls is a place you WILL shed a lot of your wallet's content. A simple soft prezel is 4 bucks. Starbucks there has prices the rest of the country will probably see in 2020 or even later. It's nevertheless a nice place to forget the real world for a few days - just don't pinch pennies (there: quarters) when you decide to go there. In light of that, the Skyline in was a nice place to stay. Its location is great, just a few steps away from the main attractions. I stayed at the place with three girls (11,12,14) and really enjoyed the indoor courtyards they have. They are nice to just hang out or for the kids to play cards. Their nightly "movie night" (they play a PG-rated movie every day in one of the courts) is a good distraction for kids and gives parents a welcome "me" time, too. The place is newly renovated and generally very clean, no mold or other yucky stuff. The only thing they should do is clean the carpet more vigorously, it just didn't feel superclean. The skywalk to the waterpark is very cool; we really liked that amenity, although the waterpark itself is dirty (lots of slime on the floor and steps, buckling floor, overpriced) and good for no more than 4 hours per visit. I would come back and even take one of the "traditional" rooms, as long as they are on the second floor (they don't have an outside window - if you get one on the first floor you look like a living monkey in a department store window...)

I paid for a 3 star hotel but I got 2 star motel. In addition, you have to pay parking fee plus taxes on it. It is just a motel. Also, their internet service did not work. Not worth the money.
