Can you believe it? In a so called classy hotel; only 2 glasses in the bathroom and 2 papercups for your coffee or tea. Discusting charges for parking and internet use and if you are thirsty, you pay through the nose. $ * for a small botle of 'plain water'. Local calls? not even a phone book in the room, and charging like you are the Bill Gates. A hot-tub that would be suffice at home for a family of 4 but not for 200 somany rooms! Needless to say, I won't be back.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and had an excellent staff. The room was also beautiful, and very modern. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the linens where the best. We witnessed a robbery in the adjoining Starbucks cafe while enjoying our morning coffee. The hotel security was right on it, and the police were there in minutes. So, we learned that thef was an issue in the city. We never felt threatened while sightseeing around the city. I would recommend the hotel to future Vancouver travelers.

While planning our trip to Vancouver with maps and guides, it was still difficult to figure out the best place to stay for walking to the sites of interest and finding nearby shops and restaurants. We were thrilled with the location of the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. But, we were even more thrilled with the welcoming and friendly attitude we received from all of the hotel staff; from the Registration desk, to the Concierge desk, where people were staffed at all hours and excited to help you figure out the best way to do whatever you wanted to do. We made many "friends" in the normal course of our stay with employees of the hotel who all seem to love their job. The Mosaic Restaurant in the hotel has beautiful fresh and seasonal food with reasonable prices and the staff is extremely gracious. They make you feel as if you are an important guest. If you are celebrating any kind of special occasion, the chef will make you an impressive 4 layer Belgian Chocolate cake. Our room was immaculate and a classy modern style. Comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom and fantastic views of the city. We absolutely loved Vancouver and when we go back, we will definitely stay at the Hyatt Regency.

My wife and I stayed here recently and the service left a great impression. The room was on the 23rd floor and we had a fantastic scenic view up Burrard St.. The bed was nice and firm so we woke up rested, the room clean and comfortable. We loved the shower that dropped the water from the ceiling rather than the typical shower head. I'm quite tall and this saved me from having to bend down to get my head wet. The restaurant was superb. We actually ate there 2 nights because of the selection, healthy choices, and a good selection of wines. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The wait staff was friendly and accomodating. Some of the other pluses we had were with the concierge. There is an excellent spa just outside the hotel lobby. I took advantage of the massage services and my wife had a facial. I also ran into a problem when I discovered I had forgotten to pack my shirt and tie for a formal event that was to start in an hour. The concierge directed me to a local clothier who opened early for me and had me on my way with time to spare. If you are looking for a hotel that lives up to the standard Hyatt's have become known for this is a great place to stay in a central location!
