This hotel was perfect! It was beautiful. The location was convenient. The beach was beautiful. The room was awesome. I loved having the bedroom separate from the living quarters. It was a nice size and very comfortable. The view was spectacular. The staff was friendly. Would have preferred not to have to use valet parking but that's the only thing I would change.

What an awesome hotel; more of a resort really. The staff was exceptionally professional, courteous and helpful throughout our weeklong stay. Right on their own private beach, the pool and lazy river were perfect. The ocean was clear enough to drink and the sand manicured enough to eat off of. Get an oceanfront room with balcony; very romantic and the views are spectacular! Location is minutes from central Ft Lauderdale and the better restaurants. The hotel restaurant has the BEST seafood bisque. Can't recommend Pelican Grand high enough! We're planning to return at least annually. Only issue was with the required valet parking at $*/day. Overall, 5 stars!!!

This resort is "awesome"!!! The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have their own private beach, which is where we spent most of the time. The beach is clean and the water is wonderful. The only thing is you have to pay for valet parking and the entire resort is non-smoking and if you get caught smoking on the grounds be prepared to pay a fee!!! The rooms are great and so is the staff!! We didn't eat at the on site restaurant but it looked nice.This resort is close to everything Fort Lauderdale has to offer, so go on and book your trip now!!!

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend in Fort Lauderdale as part of a tour group to see the Patriots play at Miami. This hotel was one of the 4 options in the tour package, and we weren't sure what to expect although it looked nice on line. The Pelican was beautiful and we just loved it. The hotel has the feel of an old Florida home. The room was huge, and the view was spectacular! The lazy river is the most relaxing way to chill out in a pool. The staff could not have been more attentive. We did a lot of walking as it is a bit out of the way, but we preferred the quieter location. We hated to leave, but we will definitely go back.
